RFXCOM RFX-433-EMC – 433 MHz transceiver with USB, WiFi and MQTT

The RFX-433-EMC is RFXCOM's latest 433 MHz transceiver for those who want to receive and control a large ecosystem of 433 devices: remote switches, wall sockets, lighting and sensors (motion, magnetic contact, temperature, etc.). Perfect as a “bridge” into a home automation system such as Home Assistant for the easiest use.

The device connects via USB-C or WiFi and can be run locally in your network without being dependent on the internet or cloud services. For stable operation via WiFi, a good 5V USB adapter (at least 2A) is recommended.

MQTT support (extra interesting for Home Assistant)

The RFX-433-EMC can also be run in MQTT mode (firmware), which many Home Assistant users prefer because it often provides easier installation and broader possibilities than the standard integration. The MQTT firmware supports Home Assistant Auto Discovery.
Important: When using the MQTT firmware, RFXmngr cannot be used at the same time.

Why RFX-433-EMC?

Wide protocol support and the possibility of future software updates.
EMC (Extended Motor Control) built-in – support for, among others, Brel/Dooya (two-way) as well as Cherubini and OzRoll.
Somfy RTS support (433.42 MHz when transmitting). Note: Somfy IO (868 MHz) is not supported.

Better range?
Don't miss this antenna if you want to improve the range of your RFX-433. Also note that 433 MHz reception can be affected by interference from e.g. computers and other home electronics – place the device as interference-free as possible. Another tip is to turn off receiver protocols you are not using for better focus and stability.

Please note that the product is oriented towards advanced users.
