H-CAN - the market's most used speed controller in cars with CAN and electric gas

Works for both new and older cars, the car has CAN and electric gas - then H-CAN is suitable. You do not need to choose the car model if you write the car's registration number.
Future-proof: should the speed of A-tractors increase, just set a new speed immediately.

This model of H-CAN is ordered for the car/model specified when ordering. It then works for this car and similar car models but can be sent to us for reprogramming. We have pre-configured the H-CAN to suit your car and no configuration is required by the installer.

Installation
- Connect CAN High and CAN Low to H-CAN
- Connect the variable cables from the accelerator pedal to H-CAN
- Connect +12v and ground to H-CAN according user manual
- Done!

For suitable mounting box, see this product.

Product Description

H-CAN is set to break at 30km/h when you receive it - no adjustment required of either speed setting or throttle values.

Connection takes place by connecting to the car's CAN-bus network through CAN High and CAN Low at any location in the car. Normally these are easily accessible in locations 6 and 14 of the OBD port. If your car has a CAN network, then there is a prerequisite for H-CAN to regulate your car. This is common to pretty much all cars after -00 and up with some exceptions. Sometimes we need to make an adjustment to make it fit in your car. It is then free of charge.

This is by far the safest speed regulator on the market.

This regulator differs from previous models in that it does not break the vehicle to idle when the speed limit is reached, it regulates the speed instead. This means that it imitates a speed limiter in a modern car, for example. You can keep full throttle and let H-CAN do the work. The regulation to the set speed is jerk-free. H-CAN also handles the "ABS problem" that can occur if, for example, you reprogram the car's ECU. With a normal ECU blocking, it is usually enough to pull the abs fuse, to enjoy free speed. Or the owner can reprogram the controller from the OBD port, which is also common to do with the help of a lap computer. This does not work with H-CAN, which is partly an external system and has software to handle manipulation.

Protocols supported today

ISO15765-4, this is standard in newer cars (CAN 11-bit)
ISO14230-4 KWP2000 (adaptation required)
SAE J1979 (adaptation required)

The data carrier can be everything from 50kbit to 1000kbit 11- or 29-bit CAN. The most common is the 500kbit CAN network.

Do you have a car that is not on the list and want us to support your car ?
Then do this:

1a) Verify that there are cables in position 6 and 14 in the OBD port. This is a basic requirement.
1b) If you have the opportunity: Check which protocol your car uses. This can sometimes be done with a regular fault code reader that scans available protocols to communicate with the car, noting the protocol the reader stops on when it contacts the car. It is also possible to use a regular computer and a OBD2 adapter to find out on this. For example. Toad and Delphi can also show this.

2) Contact [email protected] with your registration number and that you want help investigating whether your car can get support of H-CAN. Normal introduction time for a new car model varies between 1-3 years depending on how extensive our adaptation will be. It costs nothing extra to get help with this adaptation.

This RPM regulator H-version with CAN-bus interface is similar in function to item no. -for-att-kora-i-30" target="_blank">03-164, with the difference that the speed signal is taken directly from the car's CAN bus network and thus no inductive sensor is needed to measure the speed, and that it automatically regulates speed. You can keep full throttle and have the speed regulated to 30 instead of breaking to idle, for example. The control to the set speed becomes smooth.

Inspection and certificate
Book not an inspection appointment before you are completely sure and have verified that the product works in your car. A certificate is included in connection with the order if you enter your registration number (or chassis number if you do not have a registration number). If you need to order certificates afterwards, visit www.lohel.se/intyg

Frequently asked questions
How does H-CAN receive a signal from the car?
It may differ from car to car, but as a rule, H-CAN uses driveline/high-speed CAN (KWP2000) to get high-resolution speed information from the car's ABS unit. The car usually sends information about its speed in 20ms resolution, which guarantees a very high-resolution and easy-to-process speed signal. The majority (150+) of the models we currently support are custom model adaptations.

How many H-CAN installations are there?
We have recently passed well over 7000 sold H-CAN. We have extensive knowledge of installation in virtually all car models that are converted to A-tractors or suitable to become A-tractors today.

Which is the most unusual car you done speed control?
Jaguar XJR from -99

Do I need to adjust the throttle control?
No, it's already done for you. In very rare cases, a post-calibration may be needed, which we will help with with clear instructions.

Do I need to adjust the speed?
I 90 % of the cars then the predefined speed is correct and no adjustment is required from you.

How long does it take to install?
The the technical installation can take anything between 15 minutes up to 1h for an experienced installer, time for wiring and sealing is added.

Do I ever need to break my warranty seal on the H-CAN?
No, it is there for a good reason and part of the inspection and follow-up process. If you accidentally break your warranty seal, we can reseal the product free of charge.
